Sales Representative – Scaffolding (Powered)
Full-time. China Grove, North Carolina.
Position SR2011
A full-time Equipment Sales / Project Coordinator position is being offered at our China Grove, NC facility.
Klimer manufactures, sells, rents, installs and services mast-climbing work platforms (powered scaffolding) and transport platforms to the construction industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Rental and Sales of mast climbing work platforms, transport platforms, construction hoists
- Project Coordinator
- Management of projects from start to completion
- Liaison with drafting engineering to provide equipment layouts
- Create accurate shipping lists
- Develop lead lists
- Create rentals and sales through cold-calling prospects (visiting sites / via phone)
- Calling on existing clients
- Product promotion through trade shows
- Developing education through associated trade meetings and seminars
- Preparing and presenting product seminars
TRAINING:
- Learn to assemble, install and operate access equipment on-site
- Certified to train others in the installation and operation of our equipment
- Ongoing sales training and sales coaching is provided
TRAVEL:
- Required
- Within 300-mile radius of office
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Mechanical skills essential.
- Previous construction work or site experience OR similar labour intensive work environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent English - oral & written
- Valid driver's license
- Involves physically demanding labour; therefore the ability to lift and carry safely is required
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Previous experience installing, servicing or project management of heavy equipment
- Working with mast-climbing work platforms, scaffolding, crane, swing stage, suspended platforms, aerial work platforms or other access systems
- Customer service experience
- Ability to read schematic drawings
- Hydraulic or electrical skills
- Computer skills
- Sales experience an asset
SALARY (plus commission based on performance):
- = $80,000 + / yr
- Vehicle allowance

Service Technicians.
Two full-time positions. Canton, Ohio and China Grove, North Carolina.
Position ST2011
Two full-time Service Technician positions are being offered at our Canton, OH and our China Grove, NC facilities.
Klimer manufactures, sells & rents mast-climbing work platforms (powered scaffolding) and transport platforms to the construction industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Service and maintenance of all equipment
- Maintain a high level of quality control to ensure equipment meets all safety standards and manufacturers specifications
- Ensure proper inventory of all parts, tools and equipment
- Ensure proper and safe working order of all parts, tools and equipment
TRAINING:
- Installation of equipment
- Service of equipment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect, service and repair all rental units
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines returned from rental
- Respond to service calls (phone diagnostic or on-site repair)
- Keep organized records of all machines in-house and on rent
- Inspect, monitor and repair additional parts for service equipment in need of modification, weld repair, manufacturing, or replacement.
- Retrofitting of new and used equipment and custom repair modifications
- Organization and inventory of rental yard
- Assist in installation of equipment on job site when required
- Inform Service/Shop Manager of inventory shortages or future part depletions
- Identify and help eliminate health and safety infractions by advising the Service/Shop Manager
- Keep service shop clean and well-organized daily
- Assist fellow workers whenever practical
- Train and supervise contractor personnel in the correct installation technique and procedures
REQUIRED SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:
- Mechanical
- Hydraulics
- Electrical schematics
- Small engines repair and service
- Valid driver's license
TRAVEL:
- Required for installation, training and service
SALARY:
- $18.00 - $22.00 / hourly
- Benefits provided (post probationary period)
