Klimer purchases Valco Scaffold Inc.

May 19, 2011 Milton ON - Klimer Platforms Inc. today announced the acquisition of Valco Scaffold of Canton, Ohio. Valco Scaffold will now operate under the name of Klimer Platforms, Ltd., with its Ohio and North Carolina locations continuing to operate at full capacity. Key management and staff will remain the same.

Valco will continue to sell and support existing product lines with the addition of a full range of Klimer mast climbing and transport platform products.

“Our focus has always been to provide the most efficient access equipment and job site support,” said Jay Gordon, president of Klimer Platforms. “This alliance allows us to be even more effective in delivering these benefits to our clients.”

Ray Valentine, of Valco Scaffold added, “We have had a long, successful business relationship and friendship with Klimer, and this purchase will make a stronger mast climber company. We intend to offer the same high level of service and expand the mast climber, material platform business to better service our customers.”

Klimer’s previous working relationship with Valco as distributor for Klimer’s mast climbing work platforms provides a solid foundation for this transition.

American National Standards Institute Approves New Standard

The Scaffold Industry Association announces approval of the new standard ANSI/SIA A92.10-2009.

ANSI/SIA A92.10-2009 Transport Platforms was approved by the ANSI Board of Standards Review on October 9, 2009. Visit www.scaffold.org for the latest updates on the new standard.
